A small place a little out of town in Boulder, but definately worth a visit if you have any interest in meads. We came in late on a Friday afternoon after the last tour of the meadery was over, but since we came from abroad they gave us a special tour - thanks a lot. The tour in the quite small industrial park building (which is actually quite hard to locate) was very informative - so try to hook up on a tour. (editors note: this was my first ever visit to a meadery, so my base knowledge was not that solid). After the tour we got to sample quite a few of their meads, and the ones we didn’t get for free we bought, so we sample everything that was available on site that day, which was 12 in total.

Take the tour, the meade seems to taste even better when you have a better understanding of the product. We sampled them all and could really taste the differences. This place is a must visit. Located in an industrial area so look closely to find them.

I really enjoyed coming to this meadery. We were able to sample every mead they had there except for the reserve ones, which you had to purchase a tasting of it. At the end of the tour you were able to purchase some of the mead. The guy who led the tour was very informative and was quite open to questions.

Fairly easy to find from Hwy 36. They were not that busy when I went in, but the woman working the counter seemed unable to handle multiple customers. They had most of their offerings available both for tasting and purchase, and as Ernest said, much better prices than the stores.

Although I’ve never taken a tour, I stopped in one time a few years ago to buy several bottles of mead to review. That was my first encounter with their products, so I figured I’d get ’em straight from the source...plus this was the only way I was likely to find the Black Raspberry Reserve (and so I did). Cozy little place in an industrial-kinda strip mall just off Foothills Parkway. Nice people, and better prices (of course) than you’ll find in stores. And at the time, I think they had pretty much everything they made available for purchase, with only one or two exceptions.
