4 reviews for Rocky Mountain Brewery
| jbye4334 (44), Colorado Springs, Colorado | | May 15, 2009 Warehouse type setting with homebrew shop attached. Staff was very friendly and attentive, especially the owner (Duane). Nice selection of styles of beer, with some unique beers. I tried the Smoked Hefe, Green Chile, and the IPA. Also sampled a beer w/ curry, which was interesting. Good prices. Didn’t try the food that was available. A little bit of a drive from where I live near downtown, but it was worth the trip and I will definitely be back soon. | | ratman197 (104), Arvada, Colorado | | March 8, 2009 Open wrehouse space, not much decor. Service was good despite the crowd at the grand opening. Beer selection was fair with 4 or 5 beers but this was the opening day. Pretty good prices. Visited 6-8 months ago. | | Headbanger (45), Aurora, Illinois | | October 7, 2008 RSRIZZO and I stopped by and found Duane serving us and answering as many questions as possible. Much better on their beer than Blick’s. Seems like a decent selection of homebrew supplies. They do get busy so the service was a bit lacking. | | BeerandBlues2 (159), Colorado Springs, Colorado | | September 30, 2008 So Duane has expanded his home brew shop and brew on premise business to include a brewery. He purchased the building and equipment from Blick’s Brewing and about two years later began brewing his own, for sale that is. This is a rather industrial, garage shop type atmosphere with people coming in all doors to drink, bull shit, buy brewing ingredients, and brew on premise. The guys seem to always be running here or there so your glass may sit empty for a few minutes before you are allowed a refill. I would venture to guess that this is probably the best place in Colorado Springs to come and talk home brew, as Duane and his staff have been brewing for many decades, often with off-the-wall concoctions, see Coconut Curry Hefeweizen. Patrons are welcome to order delivery and Duane has a stash of a dozen or so menus to choose from. Across the street you can go support single moms, one dollar at a time. |
