| notalush (158), Denver, Colorado | | October 16, 2009 As mj has stated, this is mostly a wine store, and quite a nice one at that - really well-laid out, austere decor - friendly and knowledgeable staff - one small fridge in the back of the store dedicated to beer - a small but well-selected grouping of belgian imports - a couple of lambics - a handful of beers from Jolly Pumpkin and The Bruery - however, I didn’t see anything here that I haven’t seen in the other stores I’ve been to recently (Colorado Liquor Mart, Lukas Liquors) - sure, they do have some imports that Argonaut doesn’t have, but that isn’t hard to do - they aren’t far from the highway, so I suppose that is a draw - I would just go to Colorado Liquor Mart, though; it’s not that far from 25 either - I would come back here again, but for wine, not beer. | | LaMichael (599), Colorado | | July 23, 2009 Awesome wine shop with a small but quality beer selection in the back coolers. La Folie, Saison Dupont, IV Saison, Girardin Geuze, Hitachinos and some quality US crafts. This is the place I go for good wine and a few unique beer offerings that Argonaut doesn’t have. No more than 50 beers available but quality is the draw. Awesome service, one of the more knowledgeable staffs in Denver, for both wine and beer. |
