5 reviews for My Brother’s Bar
| jdp (12), Texas | | September 26, 2009 Good food. Nice cold beer. The selection is about 20 drafts. No IPAs at the time but standard fare and some local and a few british/irish beers. The JCB bison style is great. Good service. Music is nice. Again.. if you like cold beer.. their beer is cold as in probably 32-34 degrees fahrenheit. A good choice if in DT Denver. | fenderama (7), Denver, Colorado does not count - explanation | | March 14, 2008 I didn’t eat there and I don’t know much about the bar’s history, so maybe the charm was a bit lost on me. The selection was not much more - if any - than you can get at most decent bars around Denver. But the ambiance was great. Attentive staff, even on a busy night. Nice and dark, lots of space and a good, relaxed crowd. It’s a fun place, but the beer selection was lacking. | HumbertHumbert (5), Denver, Colorado does not count - explanation | | June 7, 2006 This is not a great beer destination, but a great bar nontheless and a great showpiece of Denver saloon history. One of the oldest liquor licenses in town and a favorite of the beat poets, this place has great ambience (only plays classical music), good pub grub (geat onion rings and jalepeno cream cheese burger all served wrapped in wax paper with accompanying relish tray). One of the best patios in town, surrounded by hop vines in the summer. A few local micros and mostly common exports on tap will satifsy most except true beer hunters. | LolaLovesBeer (4), Denver, Colorado does not count - explanation | | February 12, 2006 I love this place! Decent selection of beers and the hamburgers are excellent! They come wrapped in paper and cut in half. Oh and the fried mac & cheese wedges are original and yummy! People come to this place to relax and enjoy one another, every time I’ve been there it’s been a great time. | | KAggie97 (158), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | October 22, 2005 [ Updated August 22, 2009 ] There’s no sign outside, so you have to know what you’re looking for. It’s on the corner of 15th and Platte Street. Nice tap selection and great food-- don’t miss the jalapeno sour cream burger. The only music is classical music, so don’t expect to rock out. A nice, relaxing place with a decent tap selection and great food. Not a destination place but it’s just, well, it’s just a good place. |
