I had a very good time watching football on the 7 big screens and drinking good beer. I enjoyed the IPA the most, I was told it won a gold medal in some big event. I sampled many of the beers and truely enjoyed all of them. They currently have 3 pool tables and several dart boards. The green chili was very good!

This is in the same building where Smiling Moose used to be. After Smiling Moose closed, it became known as the Shack, for about a year. Now it has re-opened yet again with the name Pitchers. About a half-dozen brews made on-site, with apparent guest taps of things like Fat Tire. About a dozen televisions surround you in the bar area, which is a bit much even for a sports bar. Surfboards and other Hawaiian styled decorations give a vague aloha feel, but there’s not much of it. Two pool tables in back, a video game or two. Haven’t eaten here yet, but I think it’s pretty typical pub grub type offerings. Beer is mostly average, not bad, not great, a little grainy in a few cases. The IPA was surprisingly good, however. The brewer informed me that several of them were a bit old and not quite at their best (they were brewed when it was known as The Shack, for which he brewed as well), so a repeat visit after a few months is in order. Overall, nothing particularly notable about the place, it’s a fairly generic American bar, but by the same token there’s nothing wrong with it either. I’d certainly stop in if I was in Greeley again.
