| BeerBelcher (130), Columbus, Ohio | | October 10, 2008 Tommyknocker beers make it all the way to my home in Wisconsin, where they aren’t well thought of. I ended up at the brew-pub by accident and coincidence, and while the place was OK, the relative lousiness of the beers sort of negatively colored my view of the brewpub.
I don’t know much about CO, or about the west in general. But Idaho Springs felt weird to me...on the one hand it was a backwards little WV coal mining town, on the other, it is full of yuppies. The brewery is a bit like the town a bit run down. Beers were not good. Food was marginal. Service was below average. I will not be returning, and I will be avoiding Tommyknocker beers from here on out. | | BeerandBlues2 (159), Colorado Springs, Colorado | | June 20, 2007 This is a smallish dark establishment in a mining town. The restaurant was somewhat load and had patrons of all walks. The service was poor. They had the regular line up plus three additional beers available; I always like to see things other than standard beers on tap. The food was poor and the menu had way too many items; it is clear that they do not do any one item real good. I would not make a special trip to stop here. | chadzter (5), huntsville, Alabama does not count - explanation | | August 27, 2006 Good small town place. service ok but nothing special. beer is better than most places, I would in back any time. | | waolsen (60), Littleton, Colorado | | March 27, 2006 Nice bar. Small town between the Great Divide and Denver. Nice brewery for its location but their beers are forgetable. That said, they aren’t terrible. Cool place to stop when the ski traffic is too much to take. | | KAggie97 (158), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | September 23, 2005 Beautiful town, cool brewery. Their beers aren’t spetacular, but I love them for some reason. A definite stop after BoJeau’s Pizza, which is a couple buildings down. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | June 19, 2005 Right off I-70 just west of Denver, this is a decent enough brewpub, although really nothing too spectacular. They have some decent beer from time to time. |
