Nice brewpub in the south of Pilsen. Good beers (especially the Černý) and a mellow atmosphere. Didn’t try any food but the stuff the waitresses were carrying around looked delicious! Staff is attentive, although it was a little difficult to communicate what we wanted. Nevertheless, definitely worth a visit!

And my goulash was the best I’ve had in the Czech Republic thank you very much Ogi. :p. The menu seemed quite interesting too. Big, nice looking place. A fine patio too. Apart from getting me one beer wrong, the service was ok. Slow but there were quite a few people there I guess.

We were there on Monday around 2 pm, it was pretty difficult to find (like mullet said, in the middle of nowhere). The place looks nice, big patio, good beers and confused waitress that didn’t understand nor English, nor German, nor French, neither Croatian, although it’s quite similar to Czech. She has even managed to bring Marko a wrong beer (instead of Černy Bez, she brought ordinary Černo). Typical Czech food, and like he didn’t get enough of it these days, Marko has ordered goulash yet again.

Very nice and cozy place outside of Plzen. Nice friendly service - who were willing to spell out the names of their brews - helpful! A small guided tour of the tiny brewery - a bit dull, but okay. Food was not exceptional - perhaps that is because we were so many.

Somewhat hard to find, but we had Fil to lead the way. Cozy place with OK food and rather nice beers. Tour of the cellar with some info was nice also.

Nice and cosy place with some decent beers and a pretty large selection for a Czech brewpub.

Located somewhat out of the city center, but accesible but tram line 13 in something like 30 minuttes. A very newly renovated place - renovated to a modern old look and feel from an old farm. The service was friendly though some problems arose as to which berries was in their berry beers. 6 beers on when the RBESG crew visited - pretty standard beers for Plzen. The food was solid Czech food, though the pancake where added jam made from a berry beer. Go here to get some ratings.

Quite elegant and sobre brewpub in a picturesque small village in an otherwise pretty rough area in Plzen. Four regular brews and two experimental. Standard Czech food but well executed. Worth a stop.

Bourgeois , newly established brewpub in the Pilsen badlands with unexciting brews and the usual, average czech cuisine. Not really a must, but worth a stop, especially if You like dry dark beers.

Lovely location in the middle of Cernice, which is basically in the middle of nowhere. I’d recommend the walk from the centre of town, it’ll take about 90 minutes one way but it’s all along walking paths by the river. It’s a great building too, located within a courtyard thing, but I’m not sold on the fitout. It’s all very modern and blah - could be any brewpub anywhere in the world. The little outdoor area is nice though. It’s a very quiet (literally) place - there’s basically no background noise, which is pretty unusual for a beer garden. Staff were lovely once I figured out there was table service and they helped translate some of the menu for me. I quite liked the svetly (loads of bitterness, and quite rough in an endearing way) and the tmavy was quite stout-like, but a bit sweet with significant diacetyl. Food was serviceable. A nice change of pace - very different to the pubs in Plzen proper, though the beers probably don’t make a trip out there 100% mandatory.
