| Theis (58), Frederiksberg, Denmark | | May 4, 2007 A belgian cafe in Prague - just north of midttown, in the jewish part of town. Decent selection of the most ordinary belgian beers, we had LaTrappe Tripel & Westmalle Dubbel - and it’s not cheap. The sirvice was a bit slow. We didn’t have any food, but other guests had, and it looked fine !! | tobias (3), Raleigh, North Carolina does not count | | September 3, 2006 a great place in praha to find belgian beers. but it comes a at price. beer is very expensive but czech standards but a little cheaper than american standards. i had a duvel which was 90Kc, just under 4 bucks and a hoegaarden forbiden fruit, the only place i have ever seen this. it is a little jewel in the old town of praha. | | rlgk (79), Motala, Sweden | | July 21, 2006 [ Updated November 17, 2006 ] A Belgobar found in the jewish parts of town. Sat down to have a Hoegaarden on a hot summer day, but the selection of belgian beers was ok. I was surprised to see how many waitors this place had. There were more waitors than guests on this afternoon... | | Sigmund (69), Hafrsfjord, Norway | | March 28, 2006 Visited with my wife, Easter 2005, for lunch. Near the Jewish Museum / synagogues. A bit upmarket by Czech standards. Decent food (can’t remember now what we had, but it wasn’t the mussels). The waiter was friendly but not very attentive, seemed more concerned with the food than the beer. We had a Kasteel Bier Bruin 11%, served too cold but was excellent when it warmed up a little. Selection of 25 Belgian beers and a few Czech ones is quite good for Prague. And if you want to sample some Czech and Austrian wines, they have a few of those too. |
