Thisw place is normally really packed both with people and great atmosphere with a fantastic mix of low life and decadence. The deers a screaming from the pictures on the walls and great american IPAs and shitty waterish german pilsners a being thrown over the bartop. The food is ok - rather cheep - but often you have too wait quite a while. General the service is rather crappy. In summer there is long tables outside - and with big germnan-pils-filled mugs it is allmost like München... or well...it is after a handfull of the great american stuff the place is importing themselves. (Lagunitas) ..ok its not like Munchen ...but hey I like it.

Went there on a Friday nigh. Had to stand in line for a long time. Crowded in-door, crowded out-door. Two toilets, long queue agaoin. Beers served in plastic glasses. Had some Lagunitas which I like but the atmosphere to me seems like a real tourist trap. The beer selection is limited and mostly German. Of curse the young girls behind the counter did not know anything about the beers apart from the prices which were by the way fair.

Roughly about 30 different bottles was counted and about 8 tabs. 8 long tables for sharing and some outside. Somewhat mixed atmosphere. As has been written before, service was ok but not knowledgeable at all about beers. All in all an ok place with a poor selection.

Fine place with long tables and a fine selection of beers on tap and in the fridge. The walls covered with old stupped game. Reasonable prices. DØE silver prize.

More Eastern European than German. The interior and lightning makes me think of a very cheap Prague bar. I was on an aesthetic roller coaster as I entered this place, which is located in some of the coolest buildings in that part of Copenhagen with factory like surroundings. As you enter the bar-room, you first notice the scruffy furniture and ugly paintings on the wall. But the music is quite pleasing and relaxing, making you forget how hard it is to sit on a bench that is on the verge of collapsing all the time.

When we had approached the bar we had to wait even though we were the only people in the bar, because the waitress was too busy talking to one of her friends. She did it to other customers while we were there - but never mind, she turned out to be friendly, if not very professional.

They have eight taps in all, most of them dedicated bit foreign brands (Inbev, Staropramen etc). They had a single micro brew on tap though (Gourmet bryggeriet Bock2) which was nice. However, they import Lagunitas themselves, which is a big plus in my book. They had approximately 7 different types, of which many I had not seen in the shops. Neat! I tasted one of my covisitors onion soup, and it was really good. It seems that they have a small, but varied menu. The conclusion is that Zum Biergarten is could be a quite OK place with more professional staff and nicer interior.

I have lived in Munich, and this bar is as far away from a beer garden as Munich is from Copenhagen. It could be such a great place right in the center of Copenhagen, but they some how missed the concept of a beer garden. I hope it´s gets better, Having a beer garden in Copenhagen wouldn´t be bad.

I think this is the sort of place where different people could have all sorts of different experiences. The first time I went there, I ran into a releaseparty for the debut cd from a hip new band. It turned into an excellent evening. The next time I went there was in the afternoon and it seemed quite bleak and rugged. The staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable. And apart from the Lagunitas beers the selection is boring.

The interior of this place look like an eastern European canteen before the fall of the Berlin wall; plastic tables and a weird mixture of chairs. The service was friendly but totally unknowing of the beer world. Besides the own import of Lagunitas, the choise of beer is very mainstream. I’ll only go back if they import more beer I haven’t had.
