Drillings (OUT OF BUSINESS)

In addition to the quite well-stocked grocery stores with the usual beers, the small town of Nibe is lucky to have Drillings. The had a good deal of beers I haven’t seen other places in Denmark, with an emphasis on UK beers. The woman who was in the store when I visited was very friendly, but not excatly knowledgeable about the beers, but that’s really not a problem. The also had nice chocolate, tea, coffee and wine. A place to re-visit if in the area.

My local store. A nice new place with a good selection of beer, especially the only one in the area with Wintercoat. Also some very good wine (Pio Cesare), chocolate and coffe. Nice and friendly atmosphere. A shame they had to close down at 1. february 2008. I´ll miss them.

This shop was a nice surprice indeed!! Nibe is a small town, so I was very pleased to find a shop with several hard-to-get beers. By now Drillings has about 75 different beers, but they will expand during the next year or so. They also have a nice selection of whisky, wine, chocolates, tea and coffee. The atmosphere is nice and friendly, and you feel that they are enthusiasts, that know their beers. I look forward to visiting them in the future.
