July 1, 2009 Went to this place tonight because it was close to my Thon Hotel Cecil, had an outdoor terrace, and has the famous Nogne beer. Service was ok, but none of them knew a thing about beer and didn’t really seem inclinded to care that it might be good. Expensive of course. Staff was friendly. Food was great and the nogne beer excellent! |
March 5, 2008 Restaurant with a fake old-fashioned look which not only serves wine with their food, but also beer. They have special offer they call beer table, which you have to book in advance, where you get 3-5-7 dishes composed to match a selection of beers. The beer menu is big, but not included in the ordinary menu, and the waiters have no idea what beers are available. They do have 7-8 Nřgne Ř beers in bottle, which is the main reason to come here. To get them you basically have to insist that they are available, and ask for a specific one. They’ll bring it to you if they have it. (Earlier they had the beer menu on the web, so you could print it and bring it with you, but it seems to be gone from the site now.) They are expensive, but at least you can get them. Service is usually slow, even if there aren’t many people present. |
