Whenever I go to Oslo I try to visit this store situated in the neighbourhood of Oslo Rådhus. It is surly the best shop for beers under 4.7% from Norwegian micros. The service is very friendly and irreproachable. In addition to beers from Ølve på Egge, Inderøy, Ægir, Valdres Gardsbryggeri, Atna Øl, Aass (and a few German ones), I found bottles from Dalane and Hønefoss during my last visit in October 09. The owner told me that they will try to expand their offer of beers from local and regional breweries. The bottles are very expensive, even for Norwegian standard (visit 12.10.2009).

A well hidden gem in lower Oslo. Micros from Norway could be found here, together with some Norwegian traditional food. A must visit when in town.

11.02.2009. Some of the Norwegian micro brews can be hard to get. Fenaknoken is one of the shops where you can get your hands on some of the rarest norwegian micros. This shop has a very good selection of meat and traditional norwegian farmers products. Today most of the beers was sold out so I only got three beers, two from Ægir and the stout from Valdres. The man working there was very helpfull. Thank you!

Not really a beer-shop as such. This is a small deli that sells traditional norwegian food, but they also have beers from Atna, Haandbryggeriet and Ægir. The selection varies from time to time. The owner is very helpful and gives excellent service.

First of all this is a shop where you can find all kinds of trad Norwegian food, not beer. Seems like they’ve got quite a selection of sausages, hams, meate etc, very nice ambiance to the place. They’ve got the very rare and nice beer from Valdres Gaardsbryggeri, which I thought was impossible to find outside Valdres. Some other rare beers I’ve never seen anywhere else, plus some German beers. Nice surprise to find a place like this.

Small shop near the city hall selling local Norwegian delicacies. It focuses mostly on food, but also has some good beers, including some occasional rarities, like Valdres Gardsbryggeri. Now also stocks the beers from Ægir in Flåm. Run by a wildly enthusiastic guy who really likes to give service and talk. An excellent place.

Amazing store for Norwegian traditional foods, mostly salted and / or smoked meats. Very limited beer selection when I visited, but Atna beers were well represented. Valdres Gardsbryggeri beers are normally represented too, but were sold out. The shopkeeper is very knowledgeable, friendly and polite.

First of all, this is not a bottle shop. It’s a shop for people seeking out Norwegian small-scale food such as meat, sausages and cheese. They have a nice little selection of Norwegian micros hard to find other places in Oslo, and even some German micros. The crate of Corona or Sol they had there seems very misplaced, and I guess they won’t be selling that in the future. There’s no food to eat at the place, except for samples, it’s all for bringing back home.

A hand picked selection of rare Norwegian, including Ægir and Inderøy (and a few German) beers. An outstanding selection of cheese and cured meat/sausages as well as other types of traditional Norwegian food. In other countries, this would not count as a bottle shop, but they have some real rarities there. Note their new address, they are on the same street, but towards the harbour.
