| yngwie (82), Kristiansand, Norway | | July 30, 2008 It’s kinda strange. On the other side of the harbour, people pay lots of money for their mostly boring beer, and the sun sets quite early. On the side of the harbour that Tjeldsundfergen is located though, the beers are better, the prices friendlier and the sun stays longer. Still, it’s not crowded at all. Well, let the sheep herd stay at the other side, I prefer the ferry, (yes, Tjeldsundfergen III isn an old ferry serving as a bar) even though they were quite low on the selection on my visit this summer. The friendly waitresses promised more beers were due to arrive, so hopefully it was a short term problem. Definately I place I will visit again. Only open on sunny summer days though. | Gurre (1), Oslo, Norway does not count - explanation | | June 27, 2008 Without doubt the best outdoor bar in Oslo, completely different from the expensive Lekteren on the other side of the harbour. Good selection of German beers, lovely atmosphere. New owners this year (2008), one of the former owners still works in the bar. | | larsga (108), Oslo, Norway | | March 5, 2008 [ Updated May 22, 2008 ] Lovely bar that’s basically a ferry moored in the harbour by Oslo city hall. Excellent place for a drink in good weather, and therefore closed in winter. The selection is German beers, mostly Weltenburger and Einbecker, and all outstanding stuff. Service is really good and cheerful, mostly east-Oslo style. | khytre (6), Oslo, Norway does not count - explanation | | July 4, 2007 Very interesting selection of german beers that you cannot find elsewhere in Oslo. The owner joined us and shared info on the breweries etc. Very nice! | | KnutAlbert (148), Oslo, Norway | | June 28, 2007 A fine range of German beers hand picked by the importer. Note that this is an old ferry operating as a pub during summer. A good alternative to the pricey domestic lagers on the other side of the harbour. A fine place to spend a Summer evening. |
