By road, foot or boat this is one of the best pubs in kent. But if you do go by boat when the tide goes out, it goes out a long way!!! Good beer served by gravity and ofen real cider too. All in excellent condition.

Don’t listen to SilkTork! The best way to get to this pub is by walking across the marshes and back the other way into Oare. Faversham is an interesting place to spend a weekend. We found that, after taking a leisurely Sunday breakfast and and a walk out through the marshes, we arrived bang on midday, just as the pub was opening. I’m a sucker for these isolated, out of the way pubs and I love this place. And the beer ain’t bad.

This is a Freehouse which mostly specialises in beers from Kent micro-breweries. The beers are all from gravity casks as the pub has no cellar. It's tricky to find the right road, but once you've found it it's easy - the road only leads to this pub. It's a tatty pub in a bleak and isolated spot with only a scruffy boatbuilder sharing the yard, but that's half of the charm. That, and the excellent condition of the gravity cask ales.
