This used to be a regular haunt of mine when I lived in Worcester, I still visit it frequently when popping back to meet my mum. Always has about 4-5 beers on handpump, and with a strong focus on local beers. Two pleasant bars though I tend to always use the one to the right hand side as you enter the pub, lovely little pub.

Visited on 30 May 2009. Enjoyable pub with rooms either side of a central bar and a pleasant patio. 5 Ales were on offer (2 Hobsons, 1 from each of Kinver, Beowulf and Wye Valley) - the 3 I sampled were all in very good condition. Service was friendly as were the locals. A good place to visit and very close to the cathedral.

Was almost closed last year when the owner tried to turn it into offices for a solicitor’s. Enter a new landlord and the place has really taken off! Up to six beers (usually 3-4) and great food all combine to offer a proper locals’ pub feel yet with views of the cathedral. The best pub in Worcester for beer quality and sociability.
