Best spot on the beach. Now what exactly that means in Fort Myers Beach isn’t a ton, but it is the only real option unless you want Hooters. The selection is suprisingly good for Florida and its location. Other than the slection, I wasn’t completly sold on the freshness (but it was June which is near kind of off season). I had buffalo wings while hanging out and they may have been the worst I’ve ever had. Definitely should have gone with the sausage plate -seeing as its a GERMan themed restaurant. The service was promt and very friendly, but of course I went in in the middle of the day.

A wonderful little German-focus beer bar right across the street from the beach. Ample sitting inside or out. About 25 beers on tap, mostly Bavarian, though a few Mexican, Dutch or other brews. About another 50 beers in bottles from Anchor to Zagorka. The bartender was very knowledgeable about each kind of beer and was able to steer me around the selection with a knowing hand. The bar top is made out of bottle caps of most of the beers they serve there and some I had never heard of before. There was an accordian player playing when we first got there, and it was a little loud in such a small space with a low ceiling, but he knew his stuff and we got him to shut up by the simple expedient of engaging him in conversation. The food was OK. I had some brats that could have used some more cooking, but the home made sauerkraut was to die for. If this place was within walking distance of my home I would be in serious trouble.
