| jujubeast6000 (14), Houston, Texas | | June 22, 2008 Commcial looking, nice pirate decor. Good Service. Okay selection, seems like the standard Key West selection, Yeungling, Key West Sunset Ale. But they did have Chimay Red and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Good food. | | Tmoney99 (209), Cincinnati, Ohio | | June 17, 2008 Directly on Front Street two blocks from Duval and one block from my hotel. Clean location with bar on the left and tables on the right for food with deck upstairs for sunset and music in the evening. 26 taps with average to good select, but no Florida micros. We had dinner and the food was good and the service was prompt with a Florida tourist slow pace. Went back for happy hour the next day. | | Slacks (13), Bolton, Ontario | | January 27, 2008 The website is great but the actual restaurant wasn’t themed as I’d thought it would be. I ambled up to the bar and was met with a very friendly bartender and noticed some surprising beers on tap including Chimay, something I’d not seen on draught back in Canada. I had only enough time for a quick drink so I picked the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and it was poured nicely, tasted good. Would love to have spent more time, and I urge you to give it a shot! | | pineypower (18), Pine Barrens, New Jersey | | April 9, 2007 Attached to a pirate museum, 1 block off Duval Street in Key West. Open and airy downstairs with pirate decor, skeleton boat hulls, fake torches on the walls. Big bar with many LCD TV’s, even had hockey on one night. Ate there my first visit and had mahi mahi tacos which were very good, also the nachos were good. Would have liked to tried Geno’s authentic cheesesteak recipe, but time wouldn’t allow. About 25 beers on tap including Chimay, Lindemann’s Framboise and a few lighter Belgians you’d expect to find in a warm climate. Had a seasonal rotating tap with Sierra Nevada Wheat on tap while I was there. The thing that was most impressive was the Rum Bible. I realize this isn’t a rum site, but if it was this place would score a perfect 10. Over 150 rums including a rare gem Flor de Cana 21. All rums were kept in a locker with a plaque titled "devil water" above. Would definitely go again and highly recommend. Cool place to hang out. |
