| Triples (12), , | | September 27, 2009 Great food. Irish pub atmosphere. Don’t miss the craft brew page at the end of the menu. Half a dozen nice brews to compliment the good food. Best burger and beer place in town. | | mabel (134), Toronto, Ontario | | September 14, 2008 Visited back in December on a Thursday afternoon lunch time, the waitress was quite friendly and super quick and recognized some of the locals. Food included a wonderful $0.18 soup with a beef and Guinness pie and side fixings, but the other pub food looked good too. Beer selection was not wonderful but she let me try a local fav: the Black Velvet, or half Guinness, half cider (something like a sweet candied stout that most girls would enjoy). The place itself is very open and big and clean with funky upbeat music playing. Overall a fun pub for the food and ambiance, but not a beer draw. I seem to remember some people clapping and one guy yelling out, ’’Irish Car Bomb! for some reason... | | smartlung (25), Valrico, Florida | | October 16, 2007 jhliesen pretty much covers it- let me re-stress the food is really good! Never been disappointed. Beer is pretty typical - would like to see more irregulars.. | jhliesen (9), West Melbourne, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 18, 2006 Irish pub that has help bring downtown Melbourne back to life. Has two personalities, great dinner and pub stop, but later at night and during events, it becomes loud, noisy, crowded and young. The food is excellent, we’ve eaten most everything on the menu and only have been disappointed once. Service can get slow. The usual beers on tap, Guiness and its relatives, Boddingtons, Newcastle, etc. Make sure you have the Parliament Bean Soup for 18 cents! |
