10 reviews for Gordon Biersch, Miami
| moulesfrites (10), Florida | | November 18, 2009 worse Gordon Biersch I’ve ever been to. Service here is pretty bad. This review is really for the restaurant as the beer "selection" doesn’t belong on this site. They’re OK, not bad, but just OK... | | dimenhetfield (20), , Florida | | April 6, 2009 I normally don’t enjoy going down to Miami "fake tits and real assholes" if you ask me, but this place was worth the trip from Fort Lauderdale. Their brewed beer was quite tasty and the selection of food wasn’t too shabby either. The pizza was pretty good and it pairs really well with the beer. | | Butters (150), Virginia | | March 21, 2009 The same yuppie professional vibe that is typical of other GBs I’ve visited. Noisy during the lunch rush but not to the point of being rauckus. Friendly staff but hard to get a hold of. The lampshades above the bar were all yellow except for one green shade in the middle, which was a nice touch though i’m not entirely convinced it was purposefully done. But the beers were fucking awful! Even compared to other GB brews. Quality control is definitely an issue there as nearly EVERY beer was a horrible drainpour. I had a tough time picking which beer was the worst. For some reason, the wheat beers were okay, exhibiting only minor flaws that could be overlooked. But the other four beers on the menu were absolutely dreadful. The brewmaster was a nice guy, and he explained that the beers just don’t move that quickly, and he has to do small batches that vary greatly. He also insisted that he sterilizes his tubes every 14 days. I think the tubes just need to be replaced all together. | | smith4498 (16), Miami, Florida | | March 20, 2009 Nice looking, somewhat upscale bar. 6 taps, 5 regular and one seasonal. The only decent beer was the seasonal, all the rest tasted very off. I didn’t have any food, but what the people around me were eating looked good. The service was slow and had to ask the waitress at the next table to find our waitress. It’s located in downtown Miami so parking can be an issue during busy times. It’s a pretty far drive for me, so based on my experience with the beer I won’t be going back anytime soon. | | Sammy (273), Toronto, Ontario | | February 18, 2009 Standard lookin GB branch, with large bar area inside, several tables out in front on the corporate buildng, and many other tables for eater. Six taps on, served fairly too cold, but a few were spot on the style, if not a bit too cold. Very fresh beer, suggesting good turnover. This GB is downtown Miami, and near downtown hotels. Service was initially slow, surprising as there was a good server to customer ratio here, after normal lunchtime. People did their thing, and getting you a drink quickly was not on the agenda.
| | Oakes (422), gone rambling, Cambodia | | June 21, 2008 Fairly standard GB vibe, corporate and whatnot. Didn’t eat. The beers were not on, and the service somewhat confused as to who was dealing with our table. Will go back, but man those beers had issues. | | Beershine (261), Traipsing Around, Cambodia | | May 12, 2008 [ Updated September 30, 2008 ] Conveniently located just off the exit fro Brickell off I95. Surrounded by swank. Massive, sprawling bar/restaurant with large patio, multiple rooms, and long open kitchen. Entirely lacking character or charm. Not conducive to sessions unless your company is top-notch and you can ignore the slow service, almost deadly, even when it’s empty. On tap were four seasonals and two regular beers. Taps were unclean once, tainting the standardized GB formulas. Music selection is disgusting singer-songwriter crap. | | smartlung (25), Valrico, Florida | | April 5, 2007 in the building next to my office - good lucch selection - very decent beers on the sampler - solid place in the heart of downtown | | Tmoney99 (256), Cincinnati, Ohio | | April 3, 2006 Good corner location on Brickell with parking meters along side streets. Patio seating in front with a large bar, taps and brewing operations on inside right side with tables for food on left. Very clean with good freindly service. Had 5 beers on tap with the May seasonal ready to start soon. Had one brew that I had not yet tasted. Standard good food GB menu. I had the Calamari app with a wedge salad with blue cheese. Good place for lunch or dinner business. | emodx (5), Panama City, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 31, 2006 Decent place to check out if you are visiting the downtown Miami area. The food is decent, a decent beer selection, decent ambiance. Just nothing there to wow you.
