Hops Grillhouse & Brewery, Ocala

Stopped by here in March ’06. Had their four standards and one seasonal on tap - Honey Bock. Their Alligator Ale, a porter - is pretty tasty. No boundary stretchers here - but fresh brewed nonetheless. Waitresses were friendly, even to grouchy old-timers that are this town’s bread and butter. Bennigan’s like menu with an emphasis on steak. Worth a visit if on your way into or out of Florida on I-75.

The restarant usually has four of their own brews, one being seasonal. In a town where beer variety is nealy non-existent, it’s a welcome change.
