Pretty damn nice whole foods with expected back wall of locals, micros, imports, and specialties, some priced per single. Bells, Boulder Brewing, Lost Coast all accounted for. Asked a guy to try and track down some kalamazoo stout even though it wasn’t on the shelves and lo and behold, i was rewarded in kind. Also picked up some Old Peculier, which I’ve never seen in GA, which made me quite happy.

Typical whole Foods with a clean set up and a very decent beer selection. Tom is very friendly and knows his beer and the singles selection is pretty impressive for a grocery store. Nice place.

Visited here in late March, 2006. This is about the seventh Whole Foods that I have visited around the country and is probably one of the best. After almost 2100 beers, to walk in a grocery store in your home state and find about a dozen beers you have not rated is a rarity. Good selection of Belgians, some I have never seen before such as Rodenbach Grand Cru, a few unique Brits such as two 750 mls from Meantime I am looking forward. Friendly and knowledgeable staff - gave me some good informed review about the Meantimes I picked up. Food as always, is excellent and fresh.

Thanks to the below raters I don’t have to take a road trip to Clearwater or Tampa to find a good beer selection. Has a great variety of different beer styles ( mostly 4-6 packs and larger single bottles). However, there were more singles available than I expected. The Beer Guy (Tom) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even allowed me to purchase the Organic beers as singles. Also, he stated they can get any beer that’s available to Florida upon request. I didn’t rate the food since I was there for beer only.

New store in downtown Sarasota. Parking garage across the street. Food store with salad bar and single serving deli for food to go and outdoor seating to enjoy your food or have a beer. Selection is limited to two open coolers of some singles but mostly six packs. Good place to get lunch or dinner and get a few brews.

Best beer selection in Sarasota - if you go, make sure you talk to the beer manager - nice knowledgeable guy... I went in for 2 bottles of Delirium Nocturnum and left with 12 assorted bottles of the best beer I’ve ever had. Hard to believe I had shopped here many times w/o even noticing the awesome beer selection - Enjoy!!!

My wife and I stopped in one day recently while in the area. One of the largest organic markets you’ll come across in this state. Huge selection of organic groceries and a nice selection of prepared foods. Large meat cases and an excellent seafood case(you have to try the lobster bisque!). Nice bakery as well. The beer selection although not the largest at least covered most of the bases. Nice samplings of both Belgians and Micros. I picked up some Three Philosophers, St Bernardus Abt 12, DFH 90, LaChouffe and some Avery brews. Ran into the guy in charge of the beer. Very enthusiastic about beer which is always nice to come by. Should be adding more in the future. Nice place to get lunch and pick up a few decent brews I can’t get in the Ft. Myers area.

They did have some decent beers here but the selection was limited and there weren’t very many singles on sale.

The give you samples of the food and will help you pick a great wine and some beers to go with what you have picked. A grocery store, but with good beer selection.
UPDATE** theys guys love beer. Can tell you where to get it draft and what to try if you like something else. Nothing compares to their selection for package beer.

Whole Foods has a nice selection, and seem to be forever rotating different beers in and out. You will find a nice stash of Belgians, some DogFish Head and some crazy organic beers as well. It’s a pretty cool store!
