| Brewman63 (25), , | | November 21, 2009 Stopped in here for lunch one Friday afternoon while visiting relatives. Started out with the Summer Wheat which I think they just tapped the day before. It was okay but had a strange aftertaste. Maybe the line needed cleaned more before they connected it. Then I had the Red Ale and was more impressed with that. It has an interesting mixture of hoppiness like a pale ale and sweetness. It was much more refreshing than the wheat. The food was pretty good also. Had a couple of their daily specials and the lobster tacos as an appetizer. The lobster tacos were probably the best of any of the food. We ate downstairs which was good because upstairs there was a party going on and it was much warmer and noisier. Downstairs was quieter and more relaxed although the service was a little slow at times. It’s in a nice location and probaly a fun place to go in the evening. I would stop again the next time I’m in town.
| | Teege (12), Orlando, Florida | | September 29, 2009 Not a bad bar. Comfortable, classy atmosphere. The bartenders were polite and efficient, though the bar was fairly busy. Tried a sampler of the microbrewed beers and didn’t find any of them to be very good. | | azorie (17), Florida | | August 11, 2009 its a tiny brewpub in the heart of the waterfront area. They have 5 beers like the others in the class they are decent beers at best. ok this is the place I go for the food first and the beer is secondary. Even in the summer eating outside on the patio upstairs is fun. Lucky they have more than just beer.
Their stout is the best of the 3 clones. its a tad weak abv wise but tasty. They also have a great root beer they brew on site, I think,. They have 7 or more taps but are out of them allot and this place has been known to be closed in the summer for no reason. go figure, of course I been her like 30 times, so i guess we like it. | | sebletitje (78), Tampa, Florida | | June 1, 2009 Nice place in historic St Augustine.
Cozy inside with upstairs for lunch. 5 beer selection + the seasonal, very good service, very tasty appetizers and entrees.
Place looks very upscale but is affordable and everything was fantastic.
There isn’t much selection to speak of, the beers cover a good range of styles but do lack in something that is unique.
Sampler was 6$ for 6ea 4oz beers. (124e rating d’établissement) | | Beershine (268), Traipsing Around, Cambodia | | February 13, 2009 A nice pit stop in St. Augustine. It was pissing wintry rain when we shacked up here for a few rounds. Modern, semi-corporate feel but not off-puttingly so. Very nice server, professional service. Decent food and beers. | | Oakes (422), gone rambling, Cambodia | | January 16, 2009 Cozy downstairs, was less impressed with the upstairs. Service was good. House beers were decent, and that worked well enough for us. | | DragonStout (73), Pataskala, Ohio | | September 17, 2008 Stopped here for dinner with BeerVirgin.Had a seat inside with a decent veiw.We shared a flight of there beers plus I had the homemade rootbeer. The beers were decent but the food dissapointed me.The server was a little flighty but friendly. | | BeerVirgin72 (76), Pataskala, Ohio | | September 4, 2008 Stopped in here on a visit to St. Augustine. The service was extreemely friendly, almost to the point of annoyance. The beer was surprisingly decent. The food was average, however, and I doubt I would go out of my way to go here again. The discovery of JP Henleys next door was the deciding factor. I think if you had kids, this would be a fun place to take them though, and you cant beat the view from the balcony. | Guinness4Duff (7), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida does not count - explanation | | March 16, 2008 This is a nice place with a good atmosphere right in the middle of downtown. The food is pretty good and the beer is not bad for such a small brewing operation. Definitely stop here if you’re in town, then head like two doors down to J.P. Henley’s, they have 50 beers (and 24 wines for the ladies) on tap and alot of bottles. |
