Well, it’s closed now so I guess this is a moot point. It wasn’t a bad spot, just fairly boring. Beers were okay. Service was fine. Nothing distinctive about the place, but I wish they’d have been able to make a go of it. This stretch of coast could use a brewery.

Fun place. Tropical kitch decor. Good service, great prices. Interesting beers include the honey orange wheat, which tries hard to capture Florida’s favorite fruit without going overboard.

Located in a former Hops restaurant, the place surprised the heck out of me. The layout was great! Outside dining available, but we ate indoors. Inside, there’s a tiki bar and Caribbean-like decor... stucco walls, lots of palm and thatch. Nice lighting. Three or four very large plasmas mounted in all the right places and two more smaller plasmas inside the tiki bar. The food is described by the restaurant as Floribbean and I’d say that’s accurate. The wife and I were thrilled with our seafood dishes and although we’re easy to please, we’re tough to impress. Color us impressed! Service was excellent... friendly and attentive, if not extremely knowledgeable (regarding beer). The beer lineup was six strong and, for the styles represented, pretty solid from top to bottom. It was a terrific dining and drinking experience. Wendy and I will certainly be back... fairly often! I’d give the place a 20 overall, except I don’t know if I’ve found the perfect brewpub yet... maybe if the beers were more along the line of stellar!
