| drowland (42), Tallahassee, Florida | | October 20, 2009 Well, I wasn’t impressed much by this place, but it’s a cool place to hang out now and then.
The place is small and cramped, and basically impossible to find somewhere to sit if it’s busy. There is tons of goofy crap all over the walls, but they’re also written all over and the place is pretty scroungy.
The service is okay... you order yourself at the cash register, which takes way too long, and they bring out your food after simply screaming your name and wandering around looking for you. They’re good about picking up your plates, trays, empties, etc.
The selection isn’t that great. A few good craft beers on tap, but nothing you haven’t seen before.
The food was fine, but not what I was expecting after all the hype. Yes, my slice of pizza was ENORMOUS, but it wasn’t anything special.
The value really isn’t bad... I got a freakin’ huge piece of pizza for 4 bucks and 16oz cans of PBR for $1.50, the cheapest beer they had for the value. There is also dollar off drafts during happy hour
Overall, stop by and try the pizza and calzones and maybe have a decent brew while you’re there... but don’t make it a regular stop. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | August 12, 2009 You can get a pizza the size of the moon and some pretty damn good beers also. Fun place for sure. | | PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | May 2, 2009 Local pizza place in Tallahassee with two location. This is the one located on the NE side of town. Their slogan is "pizza slices as big as your head" and their extra large pizzas are hard to fit into a car when delivered. Excellent pizza with lots of exotic toppings. Above par beer selection with rotating taps - at least 25 and over 75 bottles available. Last time I went they had Stone Ruination on tap as their feature along with several from Bells, Sweetwater, Dogfish Head, Rogue and some Belgian, German and British Standards. Not a beer geek paradise - but a solid selection to wash down some of the best pizza in town. Give them a try either here or thier location near campus - 1416 W Tennessee St. |
