9 reviews for BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse
| Slabjacker (34), | | August 10, 2009 Decent place, worth a visit. The Nutty Brewnette and the PM Porter are solid. Food and service were decent and the overall decor of the bar/restaurant is good. We were impressed enough to go back a second time before leaving for home during the March Break. Unlike many other establishments, their pint glasses have the logos of their brands on them; I brought home the Piranha Pale Ale and the Nutty Brewnette. Sadly, they didn’t have any porter glasses. Definitely stop in, you’ll be pleased. | | HOPSHUNTER (16), Tampa, Florida | | July 16, 2009 Glad I eventually found this place. American type grill with a good selection of in-house brewed beers. I tried the Tatonka stout and the Piranha pale both were suprisingly good. Nothing spectacular on the menu but the food was good. I would definitely go again. | | SHIG (81), Aviano, Italy | | March 14, 2009 Nice place to eat with some decent micros. Able to get a seven beer sampler from their signature beers. The service was very helpful and always checking in if your were still doing okay. The food was excellent. | | sebletitje (80), Tampa, Florida | | December 29, 2008 Always a good place to visit.
Nice interior, very clean, excellent food, well priced. Place can be crowded, best to visit in afternoon or weekdays.
Tap selection is very decent. They have their BJs signature beers plus some other beers on tap. Last visits, they had Saint Arnold and more recently they had a FL beer Orange Blossom on tap. It is nice to see them support the local breweries as well.
Staff is knowledgeable about the BJs beers, and once in a while you get one who is really into craft beers. | | kiefdog (103), Tampa, Florida | | July 22, 2008 Visited on a Wednesday evening around dinner time. Well-decorated place with nice layout and seating. A bit noisy with the throngs of people here, but not so loud that one needed to yell to a table mate. Their selection of in-house brewed beer was reasonable, and I only sampled the hefeweizen on this occasion (which was respectable). The Belgian bottled beer list was impressive: Chimay Red and Blue, Delirium Tremens, Hoegaarden, Gulden Draak, Kwak, La Chouffe, Lindemans, Orval, Piraat, Rodenbach Grand Cru, Trappist Rochefort 8, and Westmalle, among others. Disappointingly, they were out of the Rochefort (as is most of the area) but we were able to find several nice Belgians to pair with our food. The food we had was pretty good, and I am sure that their other fare is respectable as well. This is a good place to visit with those not interested in beer, as there are plenty of drink and food menu items to satisfy most folks. Recommended if you are in the area. | | BigMilly8 (22), Holiday, Florida | | February 14, 2008 Really nice place. I took my lady here for Valentines Day...or should i say she took me there....either way we went. It is very nice, getting the baby stroller through the revolving door kinda sucked though. The beer was pretty good, nice staff and the food was good as well. A nice place to have some dinner, or stop by for a beer. | | Quake1028 (30), Tampa, Florida | | December 14, 2007 Super cool styling at this place, fits in well with the mall that it is in. Staff was friendly and our waiter was a beer only guy, so a good conversation was had. Food here is excellent, I haven’t been disappointed by anything at all. Beer is average to good, but again nothing terrible. Cool place to go and have a beer after work. | | nick76 (76), Tampa, Florida | | November 13, 2007 [ Updated January 30, 2008 ] This is a good place to eat and get a craft beer. Even though it’s a chain I still like having these in Tampa. The beer is quite good though the food is better. The selection is good also with a seasonal selections as well. Nice. | | NYHarvey (124), New York, New York | | October 25, 2007 Like the Pinellas Park BJ’s it is well appointed. An upscale chain with decor that is both laidback and classy. I think the beer is decent, but I base it on Florida standards. By those standards it’s decent beer. The staff is actually pretty well trained and has a good grasp on basic beer style. Food is also solid. It’s worth a stop. |
