18 reviews for Whole Foods Market, Tampa
| smith4498 (16), Miami, Florida | | November 8, 2009 Pretty decent selection. Nice looking store with friendly staff. I had eleven bottles and the checkout lady told me to get another bottle and I would get 10% off case discount. I also got two cloth 6-bottle wine/beer carriers for free. I’ll definately return if I’m in the area. | | changeup45 (46), Orlando, Florida | | October 21, 2009 This is a nice Whole Foods. Very clean and it’s larger than the other one or two I’ve been to. Beer selection is actually quite good, all the way in the back right hand corner of the store. Cigar City is very well represented, as they should be since they are practically next door! Plenty of 12 ounce singles to choose from, nice 750/bomber selection and a decent six pack cooler. Of course there’s obviously the nice wine, cheese selection to go along with the interesting foods they sell. Check this place out when you to to Cigar City. | | fluffy (19), Florida | | August 15, 2009 rich hippie grocery store with a good but overpriced beer selection. not really worth it as their is a wine superstore in the same shopping center with a better selection and MUCH cheaper prices. pass. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | August 6, 2009 This whole foods is nice as hell and the beer selection kicks ass too. | | shawnm213 (42), South Bend, Indiana | | August 5, 2009 Next to cigar city. Had guava grove and jai alai humidor available. Worker was very helpful and knowledgable. Nice place. | | HOPSHUNTER (16), Tampa, Florida | | June 26, 2009 It’s kind of difficult to rate this place against other beer stores as this is a grocery store. The beer selection here is FAR better than any grocery store I have ever been to, I mean 5 different Jolly Pumpkins and Brooklyn Black Chocolate stout, I haven’t seen those in most of the bottle shops I’ve been to. In fact, I saw several beers there that I have never seen anywhere else in Tampa. As for food, it’s a natural and organic grocery so pretty much what you’d expect excellent quality and very expensive. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Defininitely reccomend this place, I will return many times. | | TampaBrew (15), Tampa, Florida | | May 31, 2009 [ Updated August 19, 2009 ] I worked downtown and had no clue that this place would have this great of a beer selection until the CCB beers were released here. There is a great beer section tucked away in the back corner and a revolving rack in the back as well with a bunch of great 750s. I never thought I would see Rochefort 6 in a grocery store! All around an excellent selection of good beers and some rare beers to boot. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. DEFINITELY check this place out. They do it right. | | NelsonCrowle (11), Florida | | May 24, 2009 I went to Tampa to get some of the new Cigar City beer in a bottle, only available at Whole Foods. I found a great beer department, and the beer guy (Chris) was very knowledgable about beer styles, recommendations, etc. I bought what I came for, but I also found another 10 or 12 bottles that I just had to have too - that I had not found anywhere else. The beer is well cared for, nicely displayed, and there is a good variety of the standard beers, as well as quite a few specialty beers. Highly recommend - and also they have a great artisan cheese department! | | markwise (56), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida | | May 13, 2009 [ Updated August 1, 2009 ] I was pretty impressed with the beer here, being used to the Whole Foods in Winter Park. Aside from the large CCB display, they had lots of favorites, some at prices that beat Total Wine! Lots of Terrapin, Oskar Blues, they had Rochefort, Great Divide, Lagunitas, Left Hand, New England, Black Ops (at least until recently) and a ton of other American Micros. Chris knows his beers and is very knowledgeable. Very good place! | | thejon375 (14), Tampa, Florida | | May 9, 2009 Visited today to check out what Chris has been doing since I heard he was bringing in some good beer. Pleasantly surprised with the selection and not angry with the prices. Chris is very knowledgeable and loves beer. He had some nice gems like Ten Fidy, Rochefort and J.W. Lees Harvest. He told me that he is expanding even more and is bringing in some rares that I cant wait for. Go check it out you never know what he might have on the shelves. |
