| MI2CA (19), Noblesville, Indiana | | October 11, 2006 The Embers Grill has a very nice and clean inside with lots of wood and subtle lighting. I sat at the bar and for the most part, had the full attention of the bartender. She was learning about the beers and was interested in conversating about it and my opinions. The brewer Julie is great and has no problem talking to interested customers. She brews some really great beer too! A wide range of styles, all high quality. Had an appitizer and dinner and the food was excellent. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely worth the trip if in the Atlanta area. | rajendra82 (3), Alpharetta, Georgia does not count | | September 30, 2006 Opened in the same bulding as the old Buckhead Brewery on Old Milton Parkway, Embers Grill is a welcome addition to the local scene in the northern suburbs. The inside is pretty much unchanged from the old brewpub (since there was nothing wrong with that woody open aired place to begin with). the food seemd good, but quite costly. I’ve only had one beer the last time I was there, but it was a most excellent American Amber Ale on cask. I plan to be back soon to taste more of the offerings. The service I experienced was good, and there seemed to be real love of the beer they were making. | | unclemattie (90), Georgia | | September 29, 2006 [ Updated December 13, 2006 ] decent scotch selection. copper ceiling over the bar. wood paneling along the walls. feels like a ski lodge. seems to have 4 regular beers on tap: Kolsch, Dunkel, Porter, and Pale Ale. nice pleasantly dressed staff also seemed to be knowledgeable. Bartender remembered me after being there only one time. Now, that’s service. (or maybe I was just that obnoxious?) Julie does a great job and this place is much needed in ATL. | | harlequinn (114), Tacoma, Washington | | July 26, 2006 Not alot of signifigant changes since the days of the Buckhead Brewery. It looks quite similar in fact, with a little more of a focus on fine dining, and a little more focus on service and the wine list.
It has a classy feel to it now, ableit a bit busy, with employees. It was the first day they were open though and I was the first customer. Glassware is very nice to which is always a plus. The owner is very friendly as well as the staff. Great beers so far, which I expected nothing less from Julie. Prices are very moderate for the portions and the food quality. I hope this place sticks around for awhile. |
