Dark and crowded...but, instead of being annoying, it feels like a hidden secret: all inside are gloating because they have found it. Big fan of the melted brie with fruit...

Hands down the best craft beer bar in town. If you love beer, you must visit the Belgian Bar upstairs...a slice of European beer heaven in Atlanta. They have several exclusive draft beer along with the usual (in a good way) suspects, like Chimay and St. Bernardus. Domestic draft offerings abound as well, along with 100+ bottled offerings from around the world. The fish and chips are very good, but I’ll admit, I go for the beer. Bottoms up!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed imbibing in this place. Ambiance is top notch, almost medieval in nature. If you epecially love Belgian ales, then BSP is the place for you because this is their specialty. Ace beerlists and wonderful recommendations from the bartenders and even the servers. Beers are always served in the proper glass and the right temperature I’ve never had such great presentation of the drink. As far as food is concerned, I’d say it’s traditional pub food that is uncommonly good. Offerings have something of a German bent. Cheese plates and pairings with beer come highly recommended, as do the bratwursts. If you’re a beer enthusiast, especially into Belgian ales, and in the Atlanta area, then you owe it to yourself to visit at least once. Even the biggest beer curmudgeon cannot help but be impressed.

Some friends of mine in college absolutely love this place. I loved it too. My first time here I had a St. Bernardus Abt. 12 and was impressed at the impressive list of Belgian beers they had. Huge scotch and liquor selection is available too. The food is only decent, but the service is good. They’ll pour you a shot glass sized sample of just about any beer on tap. Be advised, the only macro beers you can find here are Guinness and Sierra Nevada.

Great place. Friendly, accommodating service. Great beers on tap. I had Saison DuPont, Gouden Carolus Classic, Victory Rauchbier, De Rocs Triple Imperial, and more. But I have to take off a point for not having a micro stout or porter on tap, which is what my wife wanted. Beautiful decor. Very nice friendly staff. My wife, child, and I all decided to order our dinners at different times: no problem. There was always a server around to get what we needed. Never saying, I’m not your server or anything. Excellent service.

Awesome looking place on the outside and inside. Big ceilings and great decor. The bar-area is really cool looking, too. I’d give it a higher score in ambiance if not for all the hipster folks wandering about. Def not my scene. Beer-wise it’s as good as you’ll find in the SE. Some pretty obscure Victorys on tap and the Oak-Aged Terrapin Rye Squared. Prices are great. Didn’t have a chance to check out the Belgian bar upstairs, unfortunately. Overall, I’d say it’s an awesome place to grab a quick beer or two, but I personally don’t think I’d feel at home here.

I get off the plane and give CaptainCougar a call: Are you guys having a tasting today? He says not and that I should hit up Brick Store instead. It was very easy to find surprizingly. Drove from the airport North on 85 until I saw a Decatur exit. Went west for 10 minutes until the street ends and you run into it. Possibly the best beer bar in the South East. It was awesome. Enormous selection, like a good beer store. The customers are very friendly and very knowledgeable.

The best beer bar in the Atlanta area. * Quaint little bar in a hip downtown square surrounded by small shops and restaurants. The downstairs bar features 17 quality taps. Upstairs in the Belgian bar is another 8 taps of Belgian beers. Both areas have a good selection of bottles as well. No crap on tap and everything served in proper glassware. No TVs (except during World Cup). Just good beer and conversation. The Brick Store excels in getting rare kegs with small distributions. * The have a very small kitchen that manages to turn out some tasty dishes, but my favorite thing to get is a cheese tray where you select up to three different cheeses from a list of quality selections. * They are just a few steps away from the MARTA Decatur station. Take the East line to Decatur, exit the station in the same direction as the train was traveling, turn left to go up the stairs to the courtyard area, turn right and Brick Store will be in the middle of the row of shops. * The Brick Store is the most essential stop in Atlanta and the hub for a Decatur pub crawl along with Twain’s and taco Mac.

I really, really, really enjoy this place. They have an incredible amount of beers and seemingly each one comes in its own glass. If you’re visiting Atlanta or even just near it, it’s well worth the stop.
