June 21, 2009 Architecturally impressive. They seem to have completely enclosed what used to be the street, preserving the cobblestones in the main passage way. The seating options are varied and there are lots of plants and good lighting on the inside. Basically a nice green, airy modern garden environment. However, the place is annoying and I doubt I will go back. Sadly, they seem to be modeling themselves after typical modern American brewpub in their approach to beer and to the brewpub "experience." The quality of the beers is outright sad especially considering where this brewpub is located, next door to Schlenkerla. It’s not a beery place. Very glad they offer a "bierprobe" that allows you to try the beers without committing to pints. |

June 11, 2009 OK, the place isn’t so bad and the service was fine, but the beer is pretty lousy for Franconian beer. Drinking here, seriously, is like going to Seattle and drinking at the Gordon Biersch. You can get a sampler if you need the ticks but there are much better stops in Bamberg. |

May 15, 2009 Good ambience which is decieving in comparison to what they serve. |

September 21, 2008 Probably one of the last choice to have a beer in Bamberg. Average quality but below par for Bamberg. But decent service and good food. |

August 23, 2008 Nice and quiet place. This is more of a micro brewery. The history of how owner Ambros got his brewing equipment is fascinating.
We ate there the day before Sandkerwa festival. The next day the streets were packed with people.
Their beer was good, especially the Dunkel.
Food was great, lots of meat as usual, and it will keep you full for the rest of the day
Prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity served.
Atmospehere was lacking a little music. |

June 4, 2008 Two doors down from Scherlenkerla, it’s honestly nothing special in a city full of special drinking places. Three beers available on draft, none of them really that interesting... it was nice to sit out front on the street and relax for a few minutes, but Ambrausianum doesn’t rank up there with the world class places that Bamberg offers the beer traveler. |

January 31, 2008 Not a fan of this place. It looks like the Pancake Parlour, staff are entirely disinterested and the beers were as bad as I found in Franconia (which still isn’t too bad, I guess). For some reason my ’dunkel’ was only barely darker than the helles. Luckily there’s like three other great drinking places within about 20m of the front door. |

September 12, 2007 Good location just next to Schlenkerla. Good thing they have sampling glasses, especially because their beers are not that fantastic. Good is the atmosphere and service. |

July 21, 2007 3 beers on tap, the doppelbock was not coming on until November 30th, and I was there on November 7th. Beers served in a sampler. The beers were mediocre quality, and below par for Bamberg and Franconia. Stone walls - stone floor making it not that cozy. But the waitresses was very nice. |

July 20, 2007 Nicely located in the old city centre. Not the old classy look as some other Bamberger brewpubs, but more modern. Beers are quite bad as well. Young girls serving the beers. |
