October 19, 2009 Sat out on the terrace, it took a while before the waitress came to the table, but after ordering a first round she came back more often. Good beers and friendly service. Beers were all in good condition. As for ambiance I could probably spend an entire evening here just enjoying the good beers. |

July 12, 2009 5 beers avaliable The waitor was kind of not interested at serving beer at 2100 on a monday night. Closed half and hour later , before time, though more and more customers were seated and coming. The atmosphere and surrounding were quiet and enjoyable. The 5 beers were tasty. Must visit. |

June 21, 2009 A classic, it’s the oldest brewery in town I think. Nice little courtyard but the real seating gem is the biergarten right on the Pegnitz River. Lovely spot. The main house beer is the brown beer and it’s quite good. |

June 11, 2009 [ Updated July 23, 2009 ] Good place. Nice range of tasty beer, decent service, and good atmosphere. In nicer weather, look for the riverside patio out back. Also look out for the odd butterbomb on the Braunbier...yikes! |

October 4, 2008 A beautiful old bar, with an old fashioned interior. It’s very comfortable. Nice and friendly staff. They were very informative. They’ve got there own beer on draft. |

September 21, 2008 Beautiful old place with lots of great beers. A must visit. Their dark beers are very good, their Maibock outstanding. Visited twice in 2006. |

August 23, 2008 Excellent place, in the quiet part of town. We were staying at the hotel right in front of it, and I highly recommend it.
The beer selection was again limited to the Klosterbräu beers. They had no seasonal, the 8,5% bock for October season.
The food menu seemed very nice, but the kitchen was closed when we went.
Place is located right next to the Regnitz river. Seating outside is very relaxing and peaceful.
As always, you cannot go wrong with 2€60 for 50cl. |

June 4, 2008 It seemed like Klosterbrau was hidden from us, but with a little investigating of two different maps we finally determined where it was. Tucked back in a less-traveled small area near the river, it’s classic old wood and old time German architecture is warm and calming. A small inner courtyard (literally three tables), a few more out front, and then some large seating areas inside, it’s a pretty large building that seems like you could find yourself lost in. Beer quality was really quite good, so it’s worth visiting while walking around central Bamberg. |

April 24, 2008 A very cozy place with a very clean inn. Old wooden beams in the cealing under which antlers hang. The courtyard is also beutiful with an old rustic staircase and flowers. Nice friendly service and 4 beers on tap. Remember the cornershop where a bigger variety is available in bottles between 9 AM and 1 PM. Didn’t eat. |
