Great view overlooking the city at this hillside biergarten. They serve rauchbier lager from the wood, always a nice touch. Definitely worth a stop, if only for the view.

Nicest beer garden in Bamberg! Spezial Rauchbier is not as smokey as the beer from Schlenkerla but great too. On a hot summer day you need to visit this place!

A hilltop view of Bamberg from the southwest combined with a comfortable, grassy setting and some fine beer make for a truly enjoyable night of drinking at Spezial Keller. Go here or you will be sorry. Places like this can not exist in the US without massive parking lots... it’s a sight to behold.

A bit difficult to find - follow the metal sign well above head height at the fork in the road where the Heller-Trum brewery is. It’s tough to get a much better view of the town than from here and for some reason the best seats are always vacant. Very good staff who are used to tourists. The toilets require a decent understanding of German - they aren’t labelled H and D. Great place, just wish I could get into Spezial beers as much as everyone else.

Large beer garden with stunning views over the city. On cold days, the pub on site is very pleasant. Good beers too.

Stunning beergarden, the Rauchbier tastes better here than in the brewery, and Im not 100% sure its just because of the view... It was more charry and mature, just awsome to drink. Food was good. Service was pretty solid too, the guy tapping the lager was a monster.

Beautiful keller (biergarden) this is the first when you walk up Stephansberg. They have the Spezial Rauchbier Lager on tap, and serve the Spezial Weissbier in bottles. Lots of people come here for the view, and the beer, and you can buy food or bring your own food .... very nice place

In my opinion the most beautiful Keller (because of the wonderful view) in this old town. Worth a visit also on cool and cloudy days, because the Kellerhaus is cozy and offers quite good meals and, for those who are able to read german books, a selection of books about franconian breweries and beers !

The first keller you encounter when you walk up Stephansberg, and easily the one with the best view. They have the Spezial Rauchbier Lager on tap, and serve the Spezial Weissbier in bottles. Lots of people come here for the view, and the beer, and they are right to come here. It’s a wonderful place to relax and drink some good brew.
