| Beershine (261), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam | | September 4, 2009 Brewery: large, giant JC statue outside. Sleepy vibe. We happened to return on a day they had a baumkerwa--tree planting party. Very pagan, very interesting. Got to try the St. Georgen Brau from a wooden barrel! Yum... Keller: Gorgeous keller, not to be missed--extraordinary views, you can see Bamberg from up there! Lovely, peaceful, forested. | | pivnizub (273), Bochum, Porúří, Germany | | April 28, 2006 Located next door to the Löwenbräu, this is the more "bourgeois" brewery-pub of Buttenheim. Quite modern, but wood-and copper-covered walls and ceilings in the typical faceless german "noble-pub" design. But, don’t worry, they serve a good selection of the excellent St. Georgen brews and the german food is good as well. A good place on rainy days, on nice summer evenings everybody drinks at the Löwen- or the St.Georgenkeller on the edge of this little town............ |
