| jbrus (84), Delft, Netherlands | | October 1, 2006 Indeed a very nice old city with a lovely gasthaus as Buxtehuder Brauhaus. It was very busy when we were there so the staff didn’t have much time for us. The beer are ok but the food is great. Certainly worth while a visit. | | YogiBeera (104), Hamburg, Germany | | May 1, 2006 Buxtehude itself is a nice little village but the brewpub is definetly a must when being in the area. The ambiance is ok - very german - half timber- house, cozy clean but still open and light. Very nice and helpful service. The brewmaster runs around. Nice patio to sit in the summer. They have the two standards: Pilsener and Dunkel and provide seasonals. Those beers are really good. The food is excellent - Northern German/German Style. I had the Sauerfleisch which was really really good and was perfect with the Pilsener. Overall a great place! |
