Good service and, of course, lovely beer! Cool history of the building - used to be the brewery until it was destroyed. Very local feel downstairs.

Food here was really good, as usual for Munich. The beers are also some of the best to be found - I had the most amazing Dunkelweiss here which was evidently mixed for me, as they don’t seem to brew one. Service upstairs was good, but going downstairs to score a few bottles of the Eisbock to take away the waitress couldn’t have been more disinterested. But still a good place.

Enjoyed this busy place, and managed to get the Schneider Eisbock in bottle, beware it’s quite a beast. The waitress who served us was really friendly and the place quite buzzing, didn’t have food but it looked ok, group of Bavarian chaps in full regalia were singing and playing some oompah stuff out the back room.

Great ambience here, front room feels smaller, more congenial, with more local flavor than some of the larger halls. Plus the Schneider beer is amazing. This was one of the favorite brauhaus I visited in Munich.

This place had more of a local feel than the other Munich beer halls we visited. And damn, I love the beers. My personaly favorites are the Original and Aventinus, but the Eisbock was also available. As a happy surprise, the Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen Weisse was also available -- just delicious. The downside here was terrible service. She brought us the wrong beers because she frankly didn’t know the difference between them. Highly recommended anyway, on the safe assumption that service is usually better.

When you happen upon the original beer garden of your favorite example of your favorite beer it’s hard to say anything bad about the place. We came across Schneider during Oktoberfest this year and only had time to sit and drink some of the best beer ever made, the original weiss and the Aventinus. What made the experiance even better was we actually had a great server. If you’ve ever been in Germany, you’ll understand what I’m talking about with the usual apathetic service you receive over there. Agelika did a great job. Great beer too.

For me only known as "Weisses Bräuhaus". Mention in both "The Beer Drinker’s Guide To Munich (Fifth Edition)" as well as "Good Beer Guide Germany". First time we visited they were closing due to low amount of customers, even though they had several guests and it was well before their closing time. Did return the next day though for some beers.

April 2007 - Stopped in on a Friday night. Shared a table with 2 other couples. Typical Bavarian bierhall and quite popular. Enjoyed my a few of my favorite beers and did not get a chance to eat. Place was extremely and thus service was a bit spotty, but I really need to make a return trip to enjoy it fully.

Even though situated in the heart of town (and on all torist trails !), this is one of those original, unspoilt bavarian beerhalls. The food is freshly cooked, far above the average, the beers are excellent, what else ?. One of the few places, where You can get the Schneider Eisbock......

Huge place with a nice selection of their own beers, both draft and bottled. Unfortunately we had know time to eat, but the food was standard bavarian.
