| Svesse (88), Hässelby, Sweden | | October 9, 2009 Lovely brewpub in an area of Manchester that used to be quite worn down, but the regeneration is changing that quickly. Lovely interior with tiled walls and a sloping floor with the bar located at the bottom of the room. An additional dining area behind the bar. Six to eight handpumps with their own lovely beers and some guest beers. Draught Moravka as well, and some Marble beers in bottles. Efficient an friendly service. Excellent pub food. Can get crowded, mainly inhabited by locals and beer geeks. A must visit when in Manchester. | | Nekronos (50), Xalapa, Mexico | | August 31, 2009 Food looks nice and they have plenty of home brew in there. NIce ambiance but a little vintage in decoration. | | Nightfall (26), Athens, Greece | | August 21, 2009 [RBESG 2009]. Beautiful place with great ambiance. nice selection. their beers were of good quality. Food also looked awesome but didn’t have a chance to try it as we went for kebab hunting with Charlotte, Jan,. Craig, Rob, Edo and Alex. A must place if you are in Manchester. | GoodBeerManc (2), Manchester, England does not count - explanation | | August 11, 2009 My favourite place to go in Manchester. A 15 minute bus ride from my house, and an excellent choice of ales, Pint and Manchester in particular, aswell as a lovely pint of Erdinger. Food looked beautiful, though I haven’t tried it yet. Top notch! | | bierkoning (173), La Tropica, Netherlands | | July 30, 2009 Lovely brewpub, with a good mix of its own beers (cask and bottle) and guest ales. Food looked fine, didn’t try it, however. Basic but friendly looking patio, cluttered with loads of empty casks. Friendly service by dedicated barwomen. Absolutely worth a visit. | | thewolf (123), Kolding, Denmark | | July 30, 2009 Top place! Lots of their own Marble beers on tap and in bottles. Fine, friendly service, even though the common room was packed later on. Great outdoor seating area and a fine restaurant. Not excactly cheap, it was not expensive either. And the food was really good (best food I had at RBESG). And who would diss a place that is willing to take off the sparkler? I’m going back here for sure! | | Borresteijn (52), Amsterdam, Netherlands | | July 23, 2009 Visited during RBESG 09. The bar itself is quite narrow, but packed with people. Nice tiles and ceiling. Good selection of beers and decent to excellent own brews. Beer garden present, but the view on a street and empty casks is not what I expect from a "garden". Food was (from what I’ve been told) very good. | | downender (116), Bristol, England | | June 21, 2009 Visited on 10/06/09. The tiled walls and ceiling were truly a sight to see - almost matched by the quality of the Marble beers, of which the ’Janines One’ was of the highest class. Crowded, but the service was friendly and efficient. One of those pubs that sticks in the memory. | | chriso (161), London, England | | March 22, 2009 Classic old pub with ornate tiling, in a rather desolate area [but close to plenty of other top scooping pubs in the "Northern Quarter">. Home of the excellent Marble Brewery. The food is very decent too. Not to be missed. | | KyotoLefty (131), Kyoto, Japan | | September 21, 2008 A beautiful old pub that serves great beers and great food as well. I liked their beers a lot, and there was a pretty good selection of them. Go for one of their meat pies. |
