Boise’s up-scale ale house with many regionals and one of the four casks in the region.

JTWhite (1), Caldwell, Idaho does not count - explanation | | February 28, 2009 Best in Boise | | BlackDonald (59), Boise, Idaho | | August 3, 2008 Not very easy to find parking, but definitely worth the walk. A great selection of regional micros. The food is pretty good, and the service is spot on, at least when you sit at the bar. I like the chalk drawings of the beers, and some funny artwork up on the walls as well. | | JMFG (18), Florida | | October 7, 2007 Right in downtown Boise, with an outside patio area and uncramped interior. 4 or 5 TVs scattered around in case sports are on. Mostly 20-30 year-old clientele when I was there. Nice tap list with a lot of IPAs and one selection on cask. I neglected to look at a bottle list. The bartenders were helpful when asked about the brews. One thing I liked was you could get 12 or 16 oz. servings. One guy on the waitstaff came by and we started talking beer, and he gave me his honest opinion on a few brews. Good burgers, too. | | tomciccateri (34), Albuquerque, New Mexico | | November 6, 2006 Nice outdoor patio along the pedestrian-friendly street. Long bar inside with great tap selection. The Deschutes Broken Top Bock was my favorite. | | jake65 (55), Williston, North Dakota | | September 9, 2006 Fun atmosphere in downtown Boise, 25+ ales on tap, several selections in the bottle, and one on cask. Food looked good, but haven’t ate there yet. Server was knowledgable when it came to NW micros as well as imports. | | oldrtybastrd (24), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana | | March 15, 2006 Nice selection on tap, I like the cask. Good selection of bottles, some rare ones. | | harlequinn (113), Tacoma, Washington | | January 12, 2006 Decent place, used to have a few rare gems here and there. Great selection of taps and decent food. Try to sit at the bar if you can, or have lunch on the patio. | | IndianaRed (14), Boise, Idaho | | July 19, 2005 Finally visited one of the better places in town for RBers and I was not dissapointed. 26 taps, with only a Coors Light trowning off the otherwise nice line of decent, micros. Most were fairly common but a nice selection. Specifically went ther as I got a heads up that they had just got in a Rogue Charlie 1981. Dimly lit, music was for the younger set, and a few TVs with mostly sports showing, but they were easy to ignore if you didn’t want to be bothered with that. While I did not have anything from the menu, my neighbors at the bar had very nice burgers/sandwiches that there compliments to the staff reflected positively. The bartender was sharp and attentive and left me alone otherwise. A nice experiance, will definatley go back for dinner soon. | | pinkzambia (43), Boise, Idaho | | June 18, 2005 One of my favorite places. For us Idahoans, it makes us feel like were in NYC somewhere. Awesome British Huntsman burger. For those not liking beer by itself can get a "snakebite" 50% beer & 50% Ace Pear. | | Sham (43), Seattle, Washington | | October 27, 2004 What can I say? It has a good location, great food, actually has a cask (rarity in Idaho) and gets great beers in. | View Page: 1 2
