Long ass boring drive from Idaho Falls to Salmon going up 28, pretty mountains, I think you can see Mount Borah, but it’s straight and flat and nothing around. Salmon is like an oasis once you get here. Small downtown area, looks like a fairly poor town from the looks of things. But this place is a wifi hotspot, nice! Inside is split into 2 sections, restaurant and bar. The restaurant has like 10 taps of house made sodas and root beers. The bar has about 15 beers, most of which is their own. Decent selection from what they make, but most of them are sour and rancid. The hazelnut ale is interesting, but ultimately a drain pour as you can’t stand drinking pecan pie or maple bars, however you see it. The service rocks and they’re nice and friendly. Fun stop on the way up to Montana. Awesome Reuben sandwich too! If only their beers were better.
