Let me first say that I really like this store, particularly because one of the owners, Muhammed, is a wonderful man. But one cannot purchase beer here. You can purchase a great selection of olives, cheeses, and Middle Eastern products, but I repeat, NO BEER. So as Edward/BrooklynBoy noted, visit for food that goes with beer, but not for beer itself.

I don’t know what to say. I just went to this place yesterday. Unless there are two of them on University, this one doesn’t carry any beer whatsoever. I went back and forth through there at least 4 times. There is sooo much shit in there. Every type of ethnic food you could want, just no beer. If by some chance i missed it i apologize.

Pretty much same for what brooklynboy had to say. The best thing about this place has got to be the cheeses and olives and stuff. The staff knows their stuff too. Just like trade beer is something that is kinda hard to find sometimes, a store of this quality and diversity is kinda hard to find too sometimes. Check it out if you can. Endorsed by my belly.

This place no longer has any beer but it has an excellent selection of food to go with beer. Their cheese and olive selections are fantastic. They have cheese and olive tastings every Saturday from 11am until 6pm. Wide selection of international foods. Great selection of olive oils, awesome selection of hot sauces, spices, and ethnic delicacies. Prices very reasonable. Want something to go with just about any beer imaginable? Try this place. Endorsed by the Champaign-Urbana Beer Club.
