January 28, 2006 I was staying at one of the hotels at the intersection of Broadway, Clark and Diversey and I had walked up to check out Reckless Records and on the way back I stopped here. It’s a small liquor store without much neighborhood charm. This is mainly a macro store, but they did have a decent American micro section, not as good as other stores within 5 to 6 blocks of it on Broadway and certainly nowhere near as good as Binny’s on Clark. They had one to three offerings from Sierra Nevada, Victory, Three Floyds, Two Brothers, Goose Island, Boulder and Avery. They had a couple of Belgians, but nothing of great quality. They had a minimal number of beers from Germany and the U.K., but judging from the amount of dust that was on them, I would say the turnover rate is pretty low.
Service was nonexistent, just a clerk behind the front counter watching television, I didn’t even get a nod "Hello" when I walked in.
Prices were in line with other stores in the area.
