5 reviews for Berhgoff Cafe- O’Hare Airport
| kiplog (15), Evanston, Illinois | | January 29, 2009 For an decent beer while stuck in OHare, it’s a good choice. Decent Huber-brewed Berghoffs - light, dark, a seasonal, that’s about it. I prefer the more comfortable Goose Island stand just inside the AA terminal, near the connection between UA and AA terminals (next to the Wildcat WWII plane) - spread out tables for sitting quietly contemplating the Chicago weather out the big windows. The newer ’Tuscan Cafe’ at the other end of the UA C terminal has a much bigger bar if your looking for traveler conversation, but don’t want to fight for a seat. Expect airport prices at all of these. | | bhensonb (287), Woodland, California | | June 19, 2008 [ Updated October 9, 2008 ] Pretty crowded. Lady at the bar indicated brews are the same as served at the old brewry restaurant downtown - but it doesn’t brew - contracts out. It’s a good place to get 3 or 4 ticks without going into town! Pretty decent lagers - and maybe the best beer in the whole airport. The best in area has to get a somewhat decent overall! NOTE: That best beer part has changed - Goose Island is now in place just a short distance away! | | alafito (21), tijuana, Mexico | | June 4, 2008 Great food for an airport, and a nice change brews. Although very watered down for the public, The dark ale was pretty tasteless and watery but the little taste it had was pretty decent. Expensive! | | kseecs16 (141), Naperville, Illinois | | January 7, 2008 [ Updated June 12, 2008 ] Don’t expect much. Beers are just decent, always the same ones on tap and only a few to choose from, the Huber made Berghoff beers. The food is decent for the airport. Very small and very hard to get a seat here often times. | | KAggie97 (156), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | July 10, 2007 [ Updated July 11, 2007 ] Nice place for a GREAT sandwich and some decent brews. Hey, their beers ain’t the best but it’s nice to have something other than the typical BMC junk at an airport. The bartender will give you samples if you ask (at least the lady tending bar did that for me). The food is excellent; the sandwiches are made after you order them and the meat is cut right in front of you. I had the bratwurst and my wife had the roast beef. Like I said, the beers aren’t the best but if you want a decent brew or two in O’Hare that isn’t your typical macro crap, stop by and have a sandwich and a beer. |
