May 5, 2009 [ Updated October 12, 2009 ] Four Moon is a fantastic little corner bar, in the heart of the Roscoe Village neighborhood. The vibe is very cozy and friendly, with eclectic kitschy decor, and mellow lighting. There is some cool breweriana here, such as the can of Billy beer and Duff tucked into the beer selection above the bar. Also vintage beer signs and lamps in the back room. They have 12 taps and 40 bottles with rotating seasonals. A rotating Surly tap often pours Furious, also Bender & Cynic. 2 Bros. Cane & Ebel is a welcome new addition also. Staple taps include Avery IPA, BBK, Domaine Du Page, Allagash White, Honkers, Ebel Weiss, and a few others. They carry Half Acre & Metropolitan here in bottles, also a small well-rounded list of imports like Chimay, Delerium, & Sam Smith. Daily/monthly beer specials, such as $4.50 Surly on Sundays. The food is American comfort food, and they also serve a nice Sunday brunch here. Service is always prompt, and they will usually chat about beer if it’s slow. Patio seating is a plus, just look for the Paulaner umbrellas. |
August 3, 2007 nice friendly place with great pub grub and a pretty good draft beer selection. had the fish fry and it was really good. clean and kitsch place that u’d expect to find in a small town, but the beer selection is definitely big city. nice laid back crowd. went on a fri and it wasnt too crowded. if you like a nice little pub, try it! |
July 1, 2007 Local Chicago pub with great selection of USA micro/craft beers along with English and Belgium. Bar has "Northwoods" feel with a lot of locals. Outdoor seating is nice during Chicago summer. Can get smokey, but that will change in 2008 for all of Chicago. Overall great local find with good beer selection |
