| megrut (15), Chicago, Illinois | | October 7, 2009 Ah, my "go to" corner bar. It’s dark, not too loud, and has a nice (albeit small) selection of beer. My only complaint is that they don’t switch out their tap selections too often. I guess this wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t go there all the time. Also, Green Eye has the cleanest bathrooms in town (w/ fresh flowers!). | | NobleSquirrel (55), Chicago, Illinois | | June 30, 2009 This is a pretty cool bar. Decent enough beer selection, though nothing over the top. Just quality, fresh beers. Crowd is super chill and the place is not overly crowded. Fun place to grabe a beer. | | emerge077 (25), < RIP Johnnie’s, Chicago, Illinois | | December 17, 2008
This is a pretty cool spot during the day or after work, though at night it gets pretty crowded. Nice and relaxed by day, with local art on the walls. Hipster meat market by night...Service is ok, expect to wait if theres a crowd at all. Beer highlights are American micros, such as the lone FFF tap, usually Gumballhead or RtB. Kind of typical otherwise, Goose Honkers, Anchor Steam, Summit Hefe. PBR reigns supreme for the cool kids. With the Map Room so close, its hard to make it to Green Eye very often. | | drpimento (55), La Crosse, Wisconsin | | May 18, 2008 Great service, atmosphere, and attitiude. Decent selection of beers micro, regional, macros, and imports. Really good sense of humor is found throughout, including some vividly colorful graphic art (for sale) on the brick walls. Friendly patrons too. I spent several hours there yesterday. Hip. |
