Laschet’s is a great german restaurant, their beer selection is nothing amazing but contains some solid German brews on draught and in the bottle, plus two Chimay beers. Their beer list is on their webstie, but its level of updating is questionable. Last time I was in they were out of a few listed offerings. Great classic german food, slightly limited selection. Awesome old world ambience right across the street from Resi’s.

As far as traditional German fare goes, coupled with excellent beer, this is nice. Better than Resi’s, in my opinion, as the beer is at a fairer price, $10/liter for anything on tap. The food is also a bit more reasonable, though comparable. I think the food here is actually better than any other German place in Chicago. But nice. Very good and excellent people who are friendly.
