Pricey, even when it’s supposedly half off. Very decent thin crust pizza and blue moon pitchers specials on wednesday.

Who thinks the City of Chicago needs more brewpubs? (Yeah!) Who thinks they need to all be in Wicker Park? (Ennnh) Well, it’s good to see one of many planned brewpubs finally get off the ground in this city. This place underscores the strenous process needed to be allowed to make beer: they opened as a BYOB, finally got to serve alcohol, went through the lengthy process of building their own brewing works, and are just now serving the results. One of the three beer towers at the main bar has been cleared of guest taps and now just has the two beers, with more to come. Their beers turned out pretty nicely for the first time. Yes, joke is that most drinks are served in Mason jars, and guest taps are pretty much the basic for an upscale tavern: Stella, check, Fat Tire, check… but they also had Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout on tap! Owners are from New Mexico, and so offer green chiles wherever possible. Worked just fine on the cup of chili I had with their new beers. May have been an old garage building, or maybe garage doors were installed to open out to the patio seating.
