This place is like 4 bars in one. Nice if you want a change of scenery. half decent bbq. typically have a pretty nice beer selection. I like the outdoor seating. I tend to dislike loud, crowded bars, but I’ve never had a bad time here.

Awesome place! Erin took care of us - awesome service. Huge selection, including very high end options. Small, 3 different bars. Great BBQ. My new favorite bar!

Stumbled into the place on the way back to Ohio from Dark Lord Day 09. Staff was so accomodating they went out of their way to make sure we tried everything. I didnt know about the other 2 bars when we got there. they were having us sample stuff from all three bars and the patio. beer selection was fabulous, stuff we cant get in ohio.Food was excellent, Bbq. We were the only ones there on a sunday morning about 11right at opening time and were treated exceptional. A must stop for anyone going to chicago. I cant wait to go back

Definitely one of the places that I like to hit up for a good time. The place is huge with three bars, all of which have different offerings. If it isn’t too busy, the bartenders are even willing to go between bars to get you what you need. Prices are good and the do have a cask offering. The only issue with that is that it doesn’t really turn over. Overall, a great place to spend a day drinking. excellent. The food is pretty damn tasty as well, though I don’t usually eat...

Sheffield’s is one of my favorite bars to go to in Chicago, particularly with a large group that includes those who aren’t big beer drinkers. The selection has something for everyone, from connoisseurs to people looking for cheap specials on macros. Maybe 2 dozen taps (32 taps seems high), and normally featuring New Holland, Bells, Three Floyds, Founders, Great Lakes, Goose Island, Surly, and others. Nice atmosphere, with a couple different rooms inside and one of the best patios in the city. Very mixed crowd, and crowded on weekends. Good location a few blocks from the Belmont L station.

I learned about this place from a newspaper column - not being from Chicago I guess it isn’t surprising I hadn’t heard of it through this site or other beer circles. I had high hopes, but somehow after Piece and Goose Island it seemed a disappointment, although there is certainly nothing wrong with it. Quite a few taps, a beer engine, and a decent bottle list. But for a city with a ton of great beer places (Sheffield’s would certainly rival the best of what Columbus has to offer), it doesn’t really stick out as superlative. Service was OK, but not really beer savvy. Tap list had some nice beers on it, but nothing really notable or outstanding. And the beer on the beer engine (Arcadia IPA) was a little weak. A nice place, but I don’t know that I’d go as far out of your way as I went out of mine to pay a visit.

My favorite Wrigleyville bar. Visiting it frequently when I am in the area. Can be quite crowed on days of cubs games and fridays and saturdays. Beyond that it is a nice atmosphere. A removed beer school bar is a more laid back area to taste beers. Seems to be about 25-30 different taps. A good variety and some relatively rare bottles. Service has been great every time I have gone and the beer school bartender is quite knowledgeable.

Fun spot in a damn fun city. Tons of bottles and some interesting taps. Crowds can make it very hard to hear yourself think, but beer selection and people watching make it a great place to hang!

Solid corner bar north of downtown that showcases lots of Michigan brewers on tap and in bottles: Kalamazoo beers, Goose Island, Bells, Great Lakes, Founders, Surly, etc. Excellent taplist, with probably about 20 taps total. Bottle list is extensive and broad, but nothing in terms of rarities or anything like that, just tons of local beers and good international offerings. Got pints of Kalamazoo Porter for $3, and they’ve got drink specials pretty much everyday. A good stop, even though it took us a while to get there off of 94.
