Stopped in with some fellow Cavaliers. Grabbed the taster and tried all they had. Good selection for what they brew on site. Place was very busy when we went, but the service was always around when we were empty. Plenty of TV’s in the bar and seating. Food was very tasty - but a little expensive. Good stop in, I would go back.

wow, some unbelieable negativity surrounding this place. my experience was not nearly so bad. the food was definately up to snuff. i had a turkey sandiwch with havarti cheese and avacado on toast. it was excellent the cole slaw that accompanied it was actually NOT overdressed with mayonaise and also contained some fresh herbs. the service was attentive but certainly did not share my excitement for beer, which youd imagine they should since they work in a damn brew pub! still, i dont care for their knowledge at any rate. i drank only the porter and it was certainly drinkable at the very least. unfortunately it was served ice cold and even then poured into iced glasses. its not so shocking that they would serve beer this way considering their usual customers, but if they brew their own stuff youd think they not want to insult it as such. i felt that there might have been some interesting notes in that porter but they were buried under an igloo. i half considered asking the barkeep to pour me two at once, and letting the second warm throughly while i drank the first. before the beer nerd blurs your vision further, lets keep in mind that there is not a resturant with its own brand of beer on every corner. and i really dont see who gives a damn about if the place has ’yuppies’ sitting next to you. and the last thing i need is a bartender or waiter outside of hopleaf telling me anything about beer. i would return to the ram no doubt, i hear they have specials on growler refills that are extremely reasonable.

This place pissed me off. They made us pay for our meal in advance. What the hell is that? The excuse they gave was that they make everybody pay in advance due to proximity to rosemont horizon. The problem with that excuse is that we watched every other table seated after us over the age of 30 NOT pay in advance. So, screw the ram. They can ram it up their a$$es.

This brewpub leans toward pale ales and wheat brews. The only dark ale on the menu was a porter. (I personally prefer IPA’s, porters, and strong ales.) They serve comfort food, steaks, burgers, marinated in sauce. The beer itself is good but not great. Great service. Good beer and good food.

This is an average Ram location that’s convenient to get to from O’hare. There’s a sports bar area, and I stayed in the non-smoking dining room. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The beers were average chain brewpub fare with a couple good ones. Service was solid as well. This is a very good stop, especially if you have a layover.

A great, convenient place to stop in if you are staying in the O’Hare area. RAM’s beer is better than most chain type microbrewpubs, but not all that creative or noteworthy. Their food is actually pretty good however. Taken together, RAM could be an oasis depending on your options...

Clean, decent chow, poor beer. The bonus is that there’s a decent little liquor store across the street with a good singles selection. Attentive barkeeps.

Stumbled on this place during my lunch hour (AMA training class). It was very crowded and had a sports bar feel. We sat in the bar area. BIG bar with lot of TV’s. They were clearly understaffed this day but the service staff did their best and we did not wait too long. The food is certainly not in the healthy vein but is significantly more substantial than your usual sports bar fair. We had steak sandwiches and meat loaf sandwiches, both of which were very good and filling (I did not eat dinner that night). They had 6 regular beers on tap and 3 seasonals. While none of their beers were particularly memorable, none were bad. All drinkable brews in a good variety. I don’t think you’d find a better place out by O’Hare airport for microbrews.

A nice bar area to watch a game or something with multiple screens behind the big horseshoe bar. Attentive staff and fairly unimpressive, but decent beer. After we moved to a table from the bar our waitress was excellent, and she threw in one of each of their seasonals with the samplers we ordered - the size of the drinks in the sampler seemed even smaller than the advertised 3oz’s though. Food was disappointing, and a little overpriced. You’re probably not going to do much better in this area.
