| HonkeyBra (10), Lemont, Illinois | | January 18, 2009 Great food at this place, a nice casual dining place great for watching the game. Beer is alright, nothing special but nothing horrible. | | Walt (185), Chicago, Illinois | | April 22, 2008 Average RAM/Humperdinks...same beers, same food...typical casual dining service...big new patio though... | | Ughsmash (138), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | January 9, 2008 I stayed right across the street in the Westin, so this was mighty convenient! It’s a typical large chain brewpub with a big dining area and lots of big TVs. I usually sat at a bar that looks into the kitchen, as it was too smoky by the regular bar, and I didn’t always want to sit in the dining area. The food was quite good and reasonably priced with large portions, as Nathan mentioned. The beers were OK, I’d put them slightly below average on the whole. | | Brigadier (81), Chagrin Falls, Ohio | | January 22, 2007
I stopped here with friends for a Friday night dinner. It was pretty dead at 9 PM which I found kind of suprising. Perhaps the others closer to downtown are busier.
The food is nice, slightly upscale and reasonably priced for the portion size. Expect to drop between $10 and $15 on your meal alone but get a huge serving.
There are three options for beer - a 6-tray sampler, an 18 oz pour or 23 ozs. I wish they offered something in between like most other brewpubs do. I had the Hefeweizen and a seasonal dunkelweizen. Neither was that great but both were decent. If I had to rate them they would be in the 3.1 and 3.4 range respectively. Growlers are half price through the end of the month if you want more than 23 oz.
Overall it is not a bad place. I’d probably go again for a beer but primarily for the food. | | beervana (32), Libertyville, Illinois | | November 9, 2005 The Ram restaurant/brewery is a great place to go with friends and family to relax, drink and eat. The bar section is separate from the restaurant. The beer menu is good - 6 sampler trays are available. I didn’t care for some of the beers but I thought the Big Horn hefeweizen and Big Red ale were very good. The huge full slab of baby back ribs are to die for - so tender and juicy, the meat is falling off the bones. Try the awesome sizzling bread pudding - it actually sizzles - three people can feast on it. I thought the service was very good- our waitness was attentive and brought our attention to newer beers that did not make it into the beer menu. I would definitely return again and again. | | SuIIy (37), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts | | August 17, 2005 Good ambiance (They had a Tyson Chandler jersey on the wall, how tits is that?!?) quite large place lots of tv’s and such, a larg wall of liquor bottles for no reason. Beer was decent. A couple ok, a couple not so ok. decent place though |
