2 reviews for Crown Liquors
| vyvvy (23), Hazelwood, Missouri | | September 6, 2006 There are other Crown Liquors in Indy, unfortunately I went to this one. I understand there is a newer one that caters to us beer lovers, but this one isn’t it. There are some craft beers, but it is not a very impressive selection and the age on this stuff is either questionable or obviously old. I was happy to see Sprecher’s Octoberfest until I saw it had a few months worth of dust on it, so it was obviously last years. They had Avery 11 (two years old now) that I got out of curiousity to see how it would be this old. The staff was nice, but didn’t seem to know anything about beer. If you are going to Crown while in town, make sure you find out which is the best beer shop - this one isn’t it. I’ll find out for next time. | | StewardofGondor (122), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | July 5, 2005 A diamond in the ruff. Came across this place while in Indy on business. There were no RateBeer places anywhere near the area of Indy that I was in. My group stopped here to pick up some wine for a client dinner and I was given the liberty of selecting some beer. Very surprising and good selection. Ended up with 3F Alpha King and Alpha Klaus and Bells Kzoo Stout. Place was well stocked with some signature Midwest beers - 3F, Arcadia, Bells, etc. along with other more popular micros - Avery, Great Divide, Anchor, Great Lakes, etc. Not many surprises but quite a few staples to pull from. |
