| derekbang (10), Indiana | | December 29, 2007 great tap selection (not based on number but on quality) and knowledgeable staff. Food is pretty good and the place is easy to get in/out of. Hopefully their volume picks up. | | WabashMan (23), Noblesville, Indiana | | October 19, 2007 First, this place gets bonus points for not having anything with the word Lite/Light. But beyond that, the beer list for this relatively small establishment was very good. Not too many draught selections (10-12, I’d guess), but a large number of bottled beers (60+). Food was good (chili cheese pie?!), mostly sandwiches, and some damn good fries. I’ll be visiting this one, again. | | atpayne (28), Zionsville, Indiana | | March 11, 2007 It’s a very nice looking bar. Not cluttered by needless decoration and lacking signage from the major macro brewers. The first thing I noticed was the as soon as I stepped into the door two employees approached me to welcome me. Numerous friendly chats with the owner and bartender enforced their commitment to service. The service was probably the best I’ve recieved at any establishment. They were very knowledgable about their beer beer and how to pair it with their food. They had 10 beers on tap, not a one of them being a light macro lager. The tap mix was a nice selection of US micros. It looked like they had another 60-80 bottles or so in the fridge, dominitaed by craft beer. They did have bottles of BMC but this place is obviously a beer place, definatley the best selection on the north side of town.
I only had a sandwich but it was excelent, and the thing that I think will set them apart from other resturants is the hot sauce theme. 50 different bottles of hot sauce are available for you to season your own food. They also have many items available to be made with varying levels of spicyness as you request. I was very pleased with my first visit, and plan to come back, especially when they start taping firkins as they mentioned. | | SpudClampDawg (42), Jasper, Indiana | | February 26, 2007 We stopped by for lunch and this was their first week open. Staff was really friendly and the food was above average (sandwiches). We had Dreadnaught and Two Hearted from the draft list. A nice bottle list was available as well. About 50 hot sauces are available to try as well (I steered clear of the Satan’s Blood btw) Good place that should do nothing but grow. |
