| WabashMan (28), Noblesville, Indiana | | December 4, 2009 Rock Bottom is a brewpub chain that offers a nice selection of brews (usually with city specific names) and food. Food runs the gamut from sandwiches to steaks and I’ve been generally pleased with what I’ve had there. Beers are decent, but nothing spectacular. | | bhops (34), Dallas, Texas | | August 24, 2009 Next door to my hotel so not a bad location in city center. Typical rock bottom brewery. Had a flight and it really wasn’t bad. Not great but better than I remembered. Food was below average, typical of a chain. Bartender chick was nice and pretty hot in a midwestern kind of way. She had good beer knowledge. Really not a bad experience at all. | | BiddleBrau (33), Midland Park, New Jersey | | August 12, 2009 Food was pretty good, beer was ok but nothing special. Went on a Sunday night so it was pretty quiet all around. Pretzels were tasty. Better as a restaurant than a brew-pub. Nothing all that special on my visit. | | Monroe1ato (11), Indiana | | January 27, 2009 Great downtown location but with all downtown places the parking sucks. They have really good food and not too terrible in price. Our waitress was very friendly. They have samples available. Rock Bottom has a rotating beer selection which keeps even seasoned samplers on their toes. Very knowledgable staff keep this chain restaurant from feeling like, well a chain restaurant. I’d recommend this place! Its in a great location, and (importantly) the beer was good, particularly the brewer’s choice brews. My favorite beer was the Tripel Trouble with 9.2% ABV. | | hotstuff (33), Indiana | | April 4, 2008 Been here numerous times mostly to rate the beers that were new to me from my previous visit and eaten here twice.Beers have mostly been hit and miss asfaras taste goes. Food was good both times I’ve ordered food.Friendly staff, good service on all visits, knowledgeable bartenders, and have spoken to the brewer on a couple of visits. A must stop for me everytime I am in downtown Indy to see what brews are new since my last visit. | | SpudClampDawg (43), Jasper, Indiana | | May 14, 2007 For a chain, they work hard to give this a non-chain feel. The beer is really marketed here - it’s the first thing you see in the menu. The fermentation tanks are in full view through large windows behind the bar. The brew kettle and mash tun can also be seen in a separate room near the entrance. Cool They have a handful of house brews and a few seasonals as well. I remember a Vienna Lager, Brown Ale, Red Ale, Pale Ale, basically something for everyone but nothing too over the top. We had the Saison (just OK) and the Milk Stout (wonderful). The food was above average as well - the Brown Ale Chicken and Fajitas were both good. Worth a stop for some local loving if in downtown Indy. | Dinntastic (3), does not count - explanation | | February 26, 2007 Rotating beer selection keeps even seasoned samplers on their toes. Great food pairings and a knowledgable staff keep this chain restaurant from feeling like, well a chain restaurant. Reasonably priced kegs are available too. | Fightfire4beer (9), Virginia does not count - explanation | | December 6, 2006 Nice place! downtown location. real good food and not too terrible in price. friendly staff. Samples available. Maybe not the best of what is available downtown, but worth a visit. | tcruicks (5), Bloomington, Indiana does not count - explanation | | July 15, 2006 I’d recommend this place! Its in a great location, and (importantly) the beer was good, particularly the brewer’s choice brews. Not a huge selection though. Food was also very good- it tasted great and you get a lot for your money. | | Tmoney99 (257), Cincinnati, Ohio | | June 1, 2006 Easy to find downtown location with other brewpubs within a block. Street patio with tables. New clean corporate location with large bar with brewing operations behind bar and glass. Good sampler selection and server offered cask brews to try. An above average Rock Bottom and good overall location. |
